This qualification – designed by SFJ Awards in collaboration with the Protective Security Centre (Home Office) – is also endorsed by NPSA, UK NACE and NCSC.

The objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the baseline of knowledge and skills required to carry out the role of a Protective Security Adviser. This qualification equips delegates with the competencies to understand how the protective security disciplines dovetail to provide the foundations of ‘security convergence’. 

Completion of this qualification will provide an understanding of how threat actors target us with a converged approach, and the importance of protecting organisational assets with robust converged security mitigations providing organisational seniors with a single overview of protective security risk.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Welcome to the SFJ Awards Level 4 Certification for Protective Security Advisers course, designed for professionals seeking the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the role of a protective security adviser. On this course, delegates will study 14 core topics, designed to provide a range of coverage across different areas of security.

On this course, we invite you to join our expert instructors as they introduce you to a range of key modules to build a strong foundation of expertise in this area of Protective Security offering a detailed and engaging learning experience.

This course is highly interactive and will teach you current techniques which you can apply to real-world scenarios. You’ll study and interact with people of all backgrounds and experiences throughout the course, providing a well-rounded programme. 

Teaching & Assessment

Learners will receive an SFJ Awards Level 4 Certificate upon successful completion of the course. 

This is a tutor-led blended course comprising five days of in-person classroom training, followed by nine months of online learning to complete the programme. Delegates will be assessed through a series of practical evaluations conducted throughout the duration of the course. Total guided learning hours for this programme are approximately 111 hours.
