Risk, Crisis & Disaster Management

SRF BTEC Level 4

Course Overview

Acting confidently in a crisis is vital to protect your organisation. As the past year has demonstrated, there are outside factors which can have a catastrophic impact to organisations of all sizes and sectors. By being fully prepared using best-practice advice, you can work towards business resilience which will help in crisis situations. Please note, live virtual courses are delivered separately to classroom courses.

Delivered over a three-day classroom course, this SRF BTEC Level 4 course in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management training prepares learners of all backgrounds on how to effectively manage a crisis and to help prevent unexpected incidents.

You will work through the course to build a broad spectrum of key principles relating to Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management. It also deals with core aspects of ‘command and control’, including the composition and operation of the Crisis Management Team.

Our training focuses on practical skills and knowledge transfer, rather than simply the theory behind a concept. Under the guidance of a specialist tutor in this field, you will discuss with the group how the material covered is – or could be – relevant to you and your role. Importantly, the qualification gained from this training will give you a competitive advantage, as this is an internationally-recognised qualification.

If opting for virtual training, please note that you will need a stable internet connection, and a microphone, speakers and webcam. This is so you can fully interact with the class in the same way you would in a face-to-face training setting. We recommend you disable your email application when joining live classroom training; this is to minimise any distractions and interruptions, ensuring you are fully focused on the course.

Bear in mind time zone differences; our classes are run using GMT or BST time zone, depending on time of year.

If you’d like to join this course, choose from either the classroom or virtual live delivery option at check-out.

(Learners will not be able to dial in to a classroom course.)
