Course Overview
This Level 2 Award provides learners with the awareness required to assist in cultivating a safe and secure environment, in line with emerging counter-terrorism expectations and Martyn’s Law.
Designed for those working in public-facing roles, the course provides an awareness of how to recognise potential threats, identify suspicious behaviour, and what to do in the event
of an incident. During the course, learners will be equipped with an understanding of how to report concerns appropriately and the steps required should an incident occur.
Through practical guidance and real-world context, this qualification supports organisations in strengthening their safety culture from the bottom upwards by ensuring all staff that interact with the public – in roles such as hospitality, facilities, front of house and security – understand their responsibility in mitigating risk and responding to security incidents.
