PerpetuityARC Training is pleased to announce the launch of a new Postgraduate (PGDip) programme in International Security and Risk Management, delivered in partnership with the University of West London. The programme will officially open for intake in September 2025 and offers a distance-learning part-time study option for professionals looking to advance their expertise in the field.
The PGDip is designed as an alternative to the MSc programme, providing students with the opportunity to complete all the same modules as the Master’s course without the requirement of a dissertation. This new qualification maintains the academic rigour of the MSc while offering a more streamlined route to achieving a higher-level credential.
Students enroled in the PGDip programme will benefit from the same access to resources as their MSc counterparts, ensuring they receive comprehensive support throughout their studies. The programme is structured to accommodate working professionals, allowing them to balance their education with career commitments, being delivered entirely online.
Entry into the programme is open to individuals who have completed a good Honours degree or appropriate professional qualification(s); or Higher National Diploma (HND)/Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline with relevant experience. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a University of West London Postgraduate Diploma.
MSc Coordinator for PerpetuityARC Training, Ayesha Asavla comments: “We are excited to offer this new pathway for professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in security and risk management. This programme provides a valuable alternative to the MSc, maintaining academic excellence while offering a more accessible route for those who may not wish to complete a dissertation.”
Professor Alison Wakefield CSyP FSyI of the University of West London, who supports and provides academic oversight of the programme on behalf of the University, comments: “We are delighted to introduce the new Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) pathway as part of our continuing commitment to accessible, high-quality education. This new option responds directly to growing demand from prospective students who are eager to deepen their expertise but may not be in a position to undertake a full MSc. By offering a flexible, dissertation-free route, we hope to open doors for professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills without the additional time or financial commitment of a full master’s degree.”
