Course Overview

Delivered in partnership with Precept Management Consultancy, this course follows on from the Security Management – Stage 2 course This programme is designed to enhance Security Managers’ ability to formulate security policy and manage security programmes at a regional and/or strategic level. Great emphasis is placed on broadening delegates’ contribution to their organisation’s security risk management strategy.

Guided by an experienced tutor, learners will be introduced to a range of topics designed to enhance their ability to develop strategy and relevant mitigation measures, make recommendations and offer solutions whilst understanding the budgetary implications. Subjects include Corporate Intelligence, Illicit Trade and Counterfeiting as well as Managing Protest Activity.

This programme takes the form of lectures, workshops, discussions and exercises. Learners are placed into groups and are tasked to solve typical security problems together. You will leave the training having covered a wide range of Security Management and Security Coordination topics.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Welcome to the Security Management – Stage 3: Strategic Security Management training course, designed for professionals seeking the knowledge and confidence necessary to manage a successful security management function.

Following on from the Stage 2 training programme, this course encompasses a security management project, which is designed to provide a realistic context in which delegates undertake a comprehensive analysis of the existing and future strategic challenges facing a notional company.

This course is highly interactive and will teach you current techniques which you can apply to real-world scenarios. You’ll study and interact with people of all backgrounds and experiences throughout the course, providing a well-rounded programme. 

Teaching & Assessment

Learners will receive a PerpetuityARC Training Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the five days’ training. Learners may wish to build on this knowledge further by studying further areas of security management such as Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management training or Security Coordination and Design.

This is a tutor-led, classroom course. Delegates will work in syndicates to provide feedback on a range of exercise scenarios.
