PerpetuityARC Training was proud to attend the latest TiNYg conference: ‘Understanding Neurodiversity: Addressing Vulnerability to Radicalisation , Crime and Counterterrorism.’
The event was held at the BBC Studios Media City, London, and was attended by a range of SMEs and industry leaders, including Emma Shaw Director of Mitie Intelligence Services and Professor Ian Acheson Senior Official in the UK Home Office
This event featured a series of presentations on the topic of neurodiversity and how this impacts young people who are potentially vulnerable to radicalisation or terrorism. The event addressed several key topics including:
- How neurodivergence, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, contribute to feelings of isolation among the young, and heightens potential vulnerability to radicalisation.
- Understand potential connections between neurodivergence and patterns of crime and terrorism.
- How to develop the confidence to approach sensitive conversations with a deeper understanding to make an impact.
Presentations were followed by panel discussions from subject matter experts with the opportunity for a Q&A.
PerpetuityARC Training attended with our colleagues from Mitie Intelligence Services, demonstrating the critical support we offer to the security industry.
