Course Overview
Have you considered what to do in a terrorist attack situation?
In this online, interactive short course, you’ll find out in simple terms what you can do during such an event.
Over the course of the training you are taken through an interactive scenario which closely follows a crisis management approach, examining and scrutinising a number of critical areas. There are many ways to approach this broad subject, and by learning as you go through the scenario you can take time to consider your options.
In the scenario, you adopt the role of an on-duty Security Officer (Charlie), and two attendees (Sue and Finn) at a concert which dominates a rolling exercise: “Determined Response”.
During the exercise, you progress through a dynamic situation. The scenario is broken into sections, and you’re presented with pointed questions throughout testing your knowledge. This helps you to analyse the chosen approach to the threat, and give some thought to possible outcomes from your choices. At the end of section 4, you work through the guidance advice relating to the questions you’ve considered.
The guidance provided is based on current UK government guidelines, so you know that what you’re learning about is reliable.
