Kevin has served for 28 years in the police service, spending the majority of his career as a senior detective, specialising in covert intelligence gathering, counter-terrorism and national security. His additional operational roles included being an accredited Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator (CT SecCo), Post Incident Manager, and Hostage & Crisis Negotiator, dealing with kidnaps, suicide interventions and complex high-risk situations.
Kevin is a highly respected security specialist, with over three decades of operational and advisory experience across policing and government, as well private and public sector organisations. As an experienced practitioner, Kevin has also worked extensively overseas, supporting organisations and governments to strengthen their security postures, preparedness and response to major incidents. From 2015 to 2019 Kevin was seconded to the UK Government Home Office as the Operational Delivery Manager within the National Counter Terrorism Exercise Programme. In this strategic role, he planned and delivered large-scale national exercises, testing responses to terrorist scenarios, collaborating closely with senior civil servants, emergency services, military partners and government ministers. His work directly influenced policy, doctrine and operational improvement across UK counter-terrorism capability. Internationally Kevin also advised foreign governments on building effective preparedness and response plans, based on their local capabilities and frameworks.
Since 2019 he has continued to support high-profile events and organisations, providing impartial, proportionate and effective security advice, as well as delivering training to a wide variety of audiences.
