PerpetuityARC Training is Going Virtual

This autumn, we’re proud to offer two of our most popular security management training courses delivered virtually: Security Coordination and Design, and Workplace Investigations and Interviewing, both accredited to BTEC Level 4. Although our UK training centre has been back up and running for a couple of months now, COVID-19 is still causing issues across the globe. That’s why we’ve developed a virtual training solution available to learners wherever they are.

Delivered through online interactive lectures and workshops, and guided by the same expert instructors as the classroom courses, learners now have the chance to gain a BTEC Level 4 certification in a live environment, without having to travel. Now more than ever it has never been easier to gain a worldwide recognised qualification.

Not only can learners interact with the class and ask questions as you would in a classroom, but everyone will receive all the typical benefits of traditional training. This includes full tutor support, access to our dedicated PerpetuityARC Training Learning Zone on LinkedIn, and protected soft copies of the learning material distributed prior to course commencement. We’ll even send reminder messages prior to the course starting, to help keep people on track with their learning.

Angus Darroch-Warren, Director of Training at Linx International Group and course leader for Security Coordination and Design says: ‘The demand for security management training remains high.  At the outset of Covid-19, there was a reluctance to engage with remote, video conference- based learning. However, we have engaged with our client base to understand their needs in terms of training delivery, given that travel restrictions are here to stay for the foreseeable future. Feedback from remote delivery on our courses has been great and we are looking to extend this across our portfolio to give access to all.’

What’s more, to accommodate budget constraints, learners will have the option choose to a non-accredited version of both courses at a reduced price.

Starting with the BTEC Level 4 Workplace Interviewing and Investigations, this course provides professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake fair, legally-compliant and effective investigations. Learners will leave training with a thorough understanding of the relationship between employment law to criminal law and can expect to cover corporate risk, the nuances of body language and questioning styles and techniques. Delivered by subject matter experts using interactive case studies and practical scenarios this course will benefit anyone tasked with conducting professional investigations, and not just those within security.

This course will follow a timetable scheduled as follows:

Week one (30th – 4th December): Daily morning workshops introducing you to the topic, an overview of workplace investigations and group discussions. (09:30 – 12:30 GMT)

Week two: 3 additional afternoon sessions covering the workbooks which forms the accreditation requirements for BTEC Level 4 applications (14:00 – 17:00 GMT).

Following on from this is our Security Coordination and Design course, where learners will be taught the fundamentals of security management and how to solve typical security problems such as: identifying threats and vulnerabilities; effective design of physical security counter measures; risk assessments. Everything that you would expect to learn in the classroom.

Security Coordination and Design is scheduled to take place virtually on the 18th January 2021, with the schedule as follows:

Week one (18th – 22nd January): a three-hour morning workshops introducing you to the course and taking you through some of the key concepts.  (09:30 – 12:30 GMT)

Week two: 3 additional three-hour morning sessions covering the assessment material and group presentation, which form the accreditation requirements for BTEC Level 4 applications.

Learners who choose to take the non-accredited route for either course will join us for the first week’s learning exercises only.

For those who are looking to achieve their accreditation, learners will complete  workbooks with the support of their peers and the instructor. Upon successful workbook completion, alongside group work, syndicate presentations, and the formation of a casefile, learners will be awarded the BTEC accreditation. They will also receive a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) completion certificate which will be emailed at the end of the course.

Virtual training has become more and more prevelant, for obvious reasons, and we at PerpetuityARC Training are working hard behind the scenes to continue to expand our virtual training portfolio to meet demand and bring you the quality learning you expect and deserve.

Prices for our virtual classes start at £200 + VAT for the non-accredited route, or £330 + VAT with the BTEC Level 4 accreditation. Simply contact us for more information on +44 01489 896549, or visit our website
